League bots

Post by exzamp » Mon Feb 27, 2017 1:26 pm

As this topic has not yet been discussed in the forums, I will introduce it here.
Competitive leagues are important to keep players interested in the game. Beyond hockey, other maps like corner defense and miniball will get new players hooked.
There is people in the community with the programming skills and free time to work on prototypes.
It is possible that some leagues are already being developed, however I think a public note on this subject is important.

Request: perhaps it would be possible to make available a basic guide on how to host a league bot, check game scores, and related issues.

We are working on the bots for a few leagues at the moment, and I'm guessing we will also release the bot framework at some point so users would be able to create their own leagues. At the moment, we are still working out some of the hiccups, bugs, and features that the bots will be able to make use of.
