Just thought I should let everyone know about a few changes to the UHL that I've made over the last few days.

The most important are the additions made to the subbing rules. They now read as follows (the addition highlighted in red):

"In the interest of fair play, any incoming sub MUST satisfy at least one of the following criteria:

a) They are within 35 ranks of the player that left the game.
b) They are within 35 life-time points of the player that left the game.
c) Both the player that left the game and the incoming sub are below rank 300.

- It is the responsibility of both teams to check that any incoming sub satisfies at least one of the above criteria. Players should use the bot to check if a sub is legal or not. If a sub of this nature cannot be found within 5 minutes, the team with 3 players is entitled to continue the game at their own discretion, but they may choose to wait longer for a sub to be found.

- In addition to this, an incoming sub who is below the rank of the player they are subbing may sub if ALL players in the game agree. To state they agree with the sub, each player must type "I agree with -playername-" where -playername- is the name of the incoming sub. This will be reviewed in the game logs after the game if required. If not all players agreed to the sub the game will be voided. Any attempt to bully players into allowing someone to sub will result in a ban.

- Any disputes on this matter will be settled by a ref. "

As well as:

"In the event a player leaves while the scores are 0-0 the teams should be re-calculated with any incoming sub."

I have also made some behind the scenes changes that mean the league will run more smoothly in my absence.

All UHL refs can now edit game reports that are broken. This means fixing stats, subs, bad names, etc. If you have a broken report, notify a UHL ref and tell them what needs fixing!

As well as this, it appears games do not get auto reported if the metaserver goes down during the game. Because of this, I've written a script that allows myself and Maria to manually report games. However, we will need the stats of the game given to us by the players that participated in order to manually report.

I'm also looking to get a few new members of staff on board, so if you're interested and you think you'd make a good ref then let me know.

No, everyone in the game has to agree on an incoming sub if they are not within the usual limits.

At last!

Now are these the changes that you told me you needed to finish the other day?

And FYI I am an amazing ref.

Another update...the life time leaderboard has been tweaked in how it "classes" each group of players, basing the groups of players on score rather than rank.

It now appears as follows:

Elites: 1100 <= Score

Veterans: 1075 <= Score < 1100

Skilled: 1015 <= Score < 1075

Average: 985 <= Score < 1015

The Suckiest Sucks That Ever Did Suck: Score < 985

Nice. I think it was Sergio who suggested this aaaages ago.

Also about subbing: why does a sub have to be below the player he is subbing in order for everyone to be able to agree to the sub?

Yes, it's true that i have asked surreal to implement this idea some months ago but he agreed with it, just didn't had the time to do it when we spoke.

Cheers on surreal and thanks for the new updates! :D
