ALL LADDER GAMES MUST HAVE [LAD] IN THE GAME NAME! FAILURE TO RESPECT THIS WILL RESULT IN YOUR LADDER MATCH NOT BEING REPORTED!

  1. A duel ladder must have the phrase [lad] in the game name. If it does not, the game will not be reported and will be considered void.
  2. A player must be signed up on the ladder in order to participate in a duel match. If a player is not listed on the ladder, the game will not be reported. Your forum name is your ladder name. If you are not sure if a player is signed up for the ladder, /join UBladder on BR Chat and type !stats name (i.e. !stats Rugr).
If a player is playing with 2 or more names on the ladder, the following actions will take place:
    1. All smurf names will be deactivated and deleted.
    2. Any wins on these names will be void. Any losses on these names will be reported on his/her original ladder name.
  3. A match must be played to Ten (10) Points. It can be played on any map as long as 10 points can be scored. Also, if the map is made for Three (3) or Four (4) teams, players must be on either a Red or Blue ship. Green or Yellow ships will not report the ladder match.
  4. If a player leaves or lags out during a match, they should be given Five (5) minutes to return. If they do not return after 5 minutes and were losing at the time they left, the match will be reported as a loss for them with a penalty imposed. If they leave during a match and were winning, the game is void.
  1. A squad ladder match must have the phrase [lad] in the game name. You may write [lad] Squad 1 vs Squad 2 if you’d like. (e.g. [lad] Hero vs DD)
  2. A squad ladder match can be played 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5.
  3. A squad ladder match can be played on any map as long as it goes to Ten (10) points.
  4. More than Two (2) squads CANNOT ladder at the same time even if the map allows for it. If you are laddering on a map that is made for more than 2 teams, squads MUST play on the Red or Blue ships otherwise the match will not be reported.
  5. Players MUST BE LISTED on the Squad Ladder roster in order to be eligible to play in Squad Ladders. If a player is NOT on the roster for a squad and plays in a ladder match, that game will be VOID. If you want to check to see if players are rostered, the easiest way is to /join UBladder on BR Chat and type !team squad (i.e. !team hero). It will list all eligible players for that squad.
  6. Substitutions ARE allowed in squad matches. If a squad wants to make a substitution, they must be in possession of the ball. Substitutions are not to be made to gain advantage in positioning during the game.
    1. If a player lags out on a team that doesn’t have the ball and the team is not about to score, (i.e. player lags out during a breakaway), play MUST stop. The player who lagged out has 5 minutes to return (if their team wants to wait for them). If they do not return after 5 minutes, a substitution HAS to be made. The player may get their spot back upon return if their team agrees (and must be in possession of the ball to make the sub).
    2. If a players LEAVES the match and a goal is scored, whether the goal was on a breakaway or not, the game will be VOID. Reason for this is because the scripts will ignore any games when goals are scored when there isn’t an equal # of players per team. If they lag into a corner during a breakaway, the scripts will register it as valid. This DOES NOT mean to score every time a player lags out. IF YOU ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO SCORE, PLAY MUST STOP!
    3. If a player lags out/leaves and there are no subs available for that team after 5 minutes, the following actions will take place:
      1. The team that DID NOT lose a player can decide to Cancel the game or Continue it at a later time. An appropriate amount of time to wait to continue is 24 hours at most.
      2. If the game was agreed to be continued and the team that lost the player was winning but was not able to field players for a continuation in 24 hours, then the game is void.
      3. If the game was agreed to be continued and the team that lost the player was losing, but was not able to field players for a continuation in 24 hours, then that team will get a loss reported against them with a penalty imposed.
      4. Continued games do not have to have the same players in them. If a game IS continued, /reset the game, score the appropriate goals where the previous game left off and then play on.
  7. A player can only ladder for ONE Squad at a time. You do not need the squad tag to play in a ladder match as long as you are listed on the roster for that squad.
  8. All players MUST remain in the game until the final goal is scored. If someone leaves before the final goal is scored, the scripts will not report the game. Teams whose players leave early will have a penalty imposed on them.

These rules are guidelines for players to help clear up some confusion of what is or isn’t allowed. Just because something isn’t listed here, does not mean it is allowed. Ladder Admins will have the final say on all discrepancies whether there is a rule listed for it or not. The point of the Ladder is to bring competitiveness to Squads, not for players to find loop holes in the rules. Enjoy the game!
